Dorina H

Imported from the Bavarian region of Germany as a Grand Prix
jumper, Dorina H comes from a highly coveted proven performance
lineage, generally only found in Europe that combines quality
movement, powerful athletic ability and excellent type.
Dorina's sire, Alexis Z is the most successful
producing Alme Z descendant, who exerted an
enormous influence of horse breeding in the South West region of
German. Initially, Alexis Z was only used to
cover the privileged mares of the Drachenhof stud. His progeny
can be found in Holstein, as well as Hanover. Alexis Z,
himself a Grand Prix jumper also followed in the tradition of his
dam, Wonne, a Hanoverian mare, who was a successful
international show jumper under Peter Schmitz. Famous examples
of his offspring like Apricot D, Amaretto D
and many more brought him the nickname "Landgraf of the south" and
made his owner, (Drachenhof/Rombelsheim) to one of the most
successful breeders of Germany.
Dorina's grand-sire is the Selle Francais stallion, Alme Z,
who is part of the elite few "Stallions of the Century" and is also
known as the "Sire of World Breeding". Alme Z,
son of the great French stallion, Ibrahim,
influenced showjumping bloodlines all over Europe. A
successful international showjumper himself, with Francois Mathy and
Johan Heins, Alme Z is the only stallion to have
sired two World Champions and three Olympic horses.

Dorina's dam-sire is the Hanoverian stallion, Diskus.
He was the only son of Domspatz to stand at the
Celle state stud. Diskus also produced a
number of successful show jumpers on the European national levels,
like Denizen (Tim Grubb), Doreen
(Jan Tops/Tjark Nagel), as well as The Natural
(1987 World Cup winner with Katherine Burdsall).

Dorina's dam, Domgoettin is also the dam of
International Grand Prix Showjumper, Noble 1 (KWPN).
Noble 1, originally being ridden by Jonathon Miller of
Canada, is currently being ridden by Michel Hendrix, of Stal Hendrix in
the Netherlands. Noble 1 is sired by the
French stallion, Noble Sire(Narcos II/Amarpour
xx/Fulminant), formerly Bambi de Cresles
who is also a Grand Prix Showjumper.
Domgoettin is the dam of the mare, Necco
(owned by Stal Hendrix) who is the dam of KWPN showjumper,
Vertigo (sired by Hemmingway (Leandro/Marle H/Romantiker)).
Vertigo sold at the 2007 C.H. de Wolden Summer Sale for
60.500 Euros. Vertigo was being ridden by Michael
Greeve, Netherlands, but is currently being ridden by Chris Ewanouski of
Montoga Farms in the Young Jumpers Championships, USA.

Dorina's dam, Domgoettin is out of Grey
Lady, who is sired by Gotthard, who is
truly one of the great stallions. For several years,
Gotthard was the leading sires of showjumpers in Germany
and has been very influential as a broodmare sire.

Grey Lady is the dam of the BWP licensed stallion,
Landadel (not to be confused with the famous one, although they
are both sired by Landgraf I). Landadel
has sired several BWP mares that are the dams and grand-dams of
performance and breeding horses alike in Europe.
