Imilian du Winsmore

After a long wait, our first colt arrived in June of 2008.  He is sired by Aslan and out of our mare, Dorina H.

Aslan
is young stallion, standing at Jump Start Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.  He is already proving himself as a performance horse, with his extravagant gaits and multiple awards.  Aslan is out of the extraordinary mare, Jete. who carries the legendary blood of Schleswig, Holstein and is also the dam of approved stallion, Balta' Czar, Aslan's older brother.

Aslan is sired by Alla' Czar, an imported Dutch Warmblood stallion.  Alla' Czar was named USEF's Hunter Breeding Stallion of the Year from 2002 - 2006, and unprecedented accomplishment  for any stallion.  Alla' Czar competed in the late 1980's through 1990's in Hunter and Equitation and won many Championships.  In Dressage, Alla' Czar competed through Prix St. George.  Alla' Czar is sired by Zeus, out of Renetta (sired by Legaat).  The Zeus/Marco Polo breeding combines two of the most successful lineages found in Europe that produces exceptional jumpers.

Zeus is a balanced mix of Selle Francais and Anglo Arab blood.  His sire, Arlequin is a distinguished sire of international showjumpers and eventers.  Zeus' full brother, Figaro (ridden for Zangersheide by Harry Wouters Van Den Oudenweyer) and sister, Diablesse (ridden by J. P. Bonneau), won at international level, as did several other offspring by Arlequin

Imilian's dam, Dorina H was imported from the Bavarian region of Germany as a Grand Prix Jumper and comes from a highly coveted proven performance lineage, generally only found in Europe that combines quality movement, powerful athletic ability and excellent type.  Dorina H is sired by Alexis Z, out of Domgoettin, who is sired by Diskus.

Alexis Z is the most successful producing Alme Z descendant, who exerted an enormous influence of horse breeding in the South West region of German.  Initially, Alexis Z was only used to cover the privileged mares of the Drachenhof stud.  His progeny can be found in Holstein, as well as Hanover.  Alexis Z, himself a Grand Prix jumper also followed in the tradition of his dam, Wonne, a Hanoverian mare, who was a successful international show jumper under Peter Schmitz.  Famous examples of his offspring like Apricot D, Amaretto D and many more brought him the nickname "Landgraf of the south" and made his owner, (Drachenhof/Rombelsheim) to one of the most successful breeders of Germany.

Alexis Z is by the Selle Francais stallion, Alme Z, who is part of the elite few "Stallions of the Century" and is also known as the "Sire of World Breeding".  Alme Z, son of the great French stallion, Ibrahim, influenced showjumping bloodlines all over Europe.  A successful international showjumper himself, with Francois Mathy and Johan Heins, Alme Z is the only stallion to have sired two World Champions and three Olympic horses.

Domgoettin is sired by the Hanoverian stallion, Diskus.  He was the only son of Domspatz to stand at the Celle state stud.  Diskus also produced a number of successful show jumpers on the European national levels, like Denizen (Tim Grubb), Doreen (Jan Tops/Tjark Nagel), as well as The Natural (1987 World Cup winner with Katherine Burdsall).

Domgoettin
is out of Grey Lady, sired by Gotthard, who is truly one of the great stallions.  For several years, Gotthard was the leading sires of showjumpers in Germany and has been very influential as a broodmare sire.
