Giada

Born in April 2006, Giada is by the imported Dutch stallion Torino, and out of the Holstein mare,
Jete.

Torino's
lineage brings the incredible Heartbreaker/Nimmerdor bloodlines to the U.S., with a twist of Cassini I.  Torino has been noted as an "improved Heartbreaker" and has already been awarded several performance and stallion honors.  He recently completed his stallion performance requirements in Showjumping at Level 7 and will be starting Grand Prix.  As a stallion, Torino's progeny have consistently been awarded top honors with the BWP for the last several years, including the highest scoring colt (Fidelio is Giada's full brother) ever in the U.S.  He has also sired two recently approved stallions, Elio and Equinox SF.

Torino

Heartbreaker
sired by Nimmerdor, who represents one of the most influential "founding sires" of the Dutch Warmblood - FarnNimmerdor was a star in jumping and had an international career with Albert Voo.  He was also selected for the Los Angeles Olympics, but his owner decided to keep him home for breeding activities.  As a sire, Nimmerdor has been equally successful.  He has been ranked 29th with the World Breeding Federation, on the basis of an enormous amount of progeny as international jumpers, as well as having sired broodmares that represent about 25% of the top 150 Dutch jumpers.  In the year 2000, Nimmerdor was elected "Stallion of the 20th Century" in the Netherlands.

The international show jumping stallion, Cassini I has won the prestigious Federal German Showjumping Championship, as well as the Arheim Grand Prix, Nations Cup and World Cup.  He is a very stately stallion this is also known for his success through his offspring, including many top international show jumpers.

Giada's dam, Jete carries the legendary blood of Schleswig, Holstein and is also the dam of two approved stallions, Balta' Czar and Aslan, making her an extraordinary mare.  Jete is by the stallion Columbus, who was imported from the German Hosteiner Verband and has been very successful as a competitor and stallion.  His legacy includes many international jumpers, as well as dressage horses.  Columbus is sired by Calypso II, one of the most influential sons of Cor de la BryereCalypso II was shown very successfully as a show jumper under Dr. Michael Ruping and exerted in influence in the Holsteiner breed.  Jete's dam sire is Condino, and both Calypso II and Condino are sired by Cor de la BryereCor de la Bryere is one of the tope 10 most influential and important stallions of all time.  He revolutionized jumping horse breeding worldwide with his bloodlines that include the great Furioso II.
